WHAT IS HOLISTIC COUNSELLING?

Counselling is a safe and confidential process that empowers individuals to make positive changes in their lives and promotes an individual’s mental and emotional wellbeing as well as deepening their understanding of themselves and their purpose. It enhances self-awareness, self-esteem and a sense of well-being, and it’s often the first step people take on their journey towards a more positive and fulfilling life.

The Holistic approach is person-centred, designed to work with you and your needs, within your scope and understanding of yourself, and sometimes calls on a range of alternative modalities to assist your journey. 

We can work on anything you are struggling with including scheduling 'you' time, finding out why those behaviours keep coming back and help develop positive self worth and practices.

WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY INITIAL CONSULTATION?

If you can, wiring down a few things to discuss can help with the initial chat to direct the conversation where you need guidance the most. You can write down how you have been feeling, anything extreme you may be experiencing, and what you'd like to achieve in sessions. There is no pressure to have this done, however. Just bring yourself.

WHAT OTHER MODALITIES DO YOU OFFER?

During our sessions, if the moment calls on them, I can offer art and music therapy, crystal and chakra healing, meditation, relaxation techniques and Oracle card spiritual guidance. I can also refer you to other fabulous practitioners in the centre who can help with other fabulous modalities. 

DO WE HAVE TO DO THE OTHER ‘ALTERNATIVE’ STUFF OR CAN WE JUST CHAT?

Sessions are guided by you! So we never have to do anything you’re uncomfortable with. Counselling is a process of getting to know yourself through talking openly. If you want to try something different, we can talk it through before we start anything new.

WHAT IS A 'GODDESS CIRCLE'

Having suffered from Fibromyalgia and ME/CFS most of my life, I have discovered ways to help symptoms that I would love to share with you. Most of my work with chronic illness is around calming the nervous system and self-awareness.

I do not have a medical degree, and cannot 'cure' anything, however, I can share things that have helped me.
